Nominations are open until midnight on Sunday 23 August for Scotland's Health Awards 2026, which celebrate excellence in health and social care across Scotland.

What’s happened
Nominations have opened for Scotland’s Health Awards 2026. The ceremony and gala will take place in November 2026 in Edinburgh.
NHS staff and members of the public can nominate individuals and teams who have demonstrated outstanding dedication to delivering compassionate, high-quality health and social care.
Award categories include:
Support Worker
Innovation
Volunteers
Midwife
Allied Health Professional
Global Citizenship
Care for Mental Health
Integrated Care
Tackling Health Inequalities
Leader of the Year
Nurse
Doctor
Healthcare Scientist
Pharmacist
Young Achiever
Top Team
Following the close of nominations, members of the public will vote to decide the Reader's Choice Award.
The awards are hosted by The Scotsman in partnership with NHS Scotland and the Scottish Government.
Why this matters to members
Scotland's Health Awards recognise excellence across the health and social care professions, celebrating individuals and teams working in a wide range of roles.
The awards provide an opportunity to showcase the contribution podiatry is making through innovation, integrated care and work to reduce health inequalities across Scotland.
What happens next
Nominations close at midnight on Sunday 23 August. Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony and gala dinner in Edinburgh on Thursday 12 November.
