Royal College of Podiatry announces results of Council elections
Six new Council members have been elected by the College’s members to fill the vacant seats on its board of directors.
What’s happened
The Royal College of Podiatry has announced the election of six new members to its Council, following this year’s ballot of its members.
The successful candidates are: Lucy Beaumont, Jake Heath, Jane Lewis, Jane McAdam, Grace Messenger and Sue Pike.
They will take up their roles at the first Council meeting following the College’s Annual General Meeting on 6 June.
An official report of the voting process has been prepared by the College’s scrutineers, Civica Election Services, and is available to members.

Council is the College’s board of directors, responsible for setting its strategic direction and overseeing key decisions affecting the profession.
The election of new members brings fresh perspectives to this work at a time when the College is delivering its five-year strategic plan and responding to wider changes across health and care.
For members, Council decisions dictate priorities including professional standards, workforce issues and the future direction of podiatry.
What happens next?
The newly elected members will formally join Council following the AGM on 6 June 2026 and begin contributing to its ongoing work.
